children placed in foster care – finding themselves in a new home or new school as they cope with the
trauma of abuse or neglect. Sadly, thousands of children will not be at home this holiday season with the
only family they know.
CASA of Lackawanna is an organization of highly trained adult volunteers that advocate for children in the foster care and child welfare system. We advocate for their rights and needs until they are in a safe, loving, permanent home. A CASA volunteer is very often the only adult a child has been able to rely upon in their entire lives.
